I spend about 50 per month right now. Taking it a bit slow. It can get out of hand if you set your bids up to high, I find. Sometimes you have to though. Just to get your links in a good listing spot. And not on the 11th page of a serch lol. How much do you guys have to spend? Does it work for you?

Right now about 6000 a month. The ROI is there, so I continue.

I think the actual amount of $$$s spent on AdWords is not so important, rather the ratio of AdWords costs vs Affiliate/AdSense income is what counts, right?
If I spend $100 a month on AdWords and earn $45, that is not so good. But if I spend (like Trypp in another DP thread), $2000 per day (= $60k/month!!!) and earn $4000 per day, that is pretty good indeed!!!
So it is not the daily or monthly AdWords expense that counts, it is what income I get for my expense, (eg Return on Investment - "ROI").

Initially you shouldn't be spending more than you can afford to lose.
As you get the hang of Adwords, and improve your campaign, you should be trying to maximise your profit, so spend the amount that will do that (as long as you have the cashflow to support the spend, and you can't get a better ROI elsewhere, obviously).
