View Full Version : Directory concern and "Your Weight"

Ad networks was originally set-up with www.domain.com/blog; validated OK
The ad_network.php and ad_networks_ads.txt were added to the root directory.

In the root directory, I have some .shtml files with
<!--#include virtual="/ad_network.php" --> included. Adverts are displaying on the blog and .shtml files.

But are blog and root files both contributing to the "Your Weight"?
Does it matter that not all files in the root have the code?

The pages come from the api and you can see the number in the track backlinks of KWT - you can see them by using the site: but the figures are different as it is whatever the api serves up/

Yes it does matter that all files have the code as the check is random across all files.

Hey all:

I've got a 4 page site that is showing a weight of 0 after 3 days since validation and the ad was approved.

What does a weight of 0 mean? Are my ads showing on the network?

Ads are showing on all 4 pages of the site just fine, but I'm worried that my ad isn't showing on the network.

Any advice would be welcomed!

My site has a PR3 on Google and 560 pages indexed (site: command)
Weight=0

What can I do? Any tip?

Weight will be zero primarily because of no indexed paged in google unless it has failed validation.

Also, if you are looking for help, it does help to put in the url so we can check ;).

Hi:

The site in question where my weight is showing 0 is:

http://www.innwebnet.com

I just checked again and the ads are showing properly. My G toolbar is showing white, so the spider must have been there already, which is a good sign.

Thanks for any feedback.

Did a quick spot check and I am guessing that the google api has no indexed pages for your site. check - inurl:www.innwebnet.com (http://www.innwebnet.com/) site:www.innwebnet.com (http://www.innwebnet.com/) - in google and nothing shows up.

What is weight a measure of?

Your Google Page rank or real incoming links? number of pages on site?? number of pages you have coop ad code on?

Right now the Google API has 289 pages and a PR of 3 for that site. It was acting funny earlier today for me and showing 0 pages for some established sites. You should probably try revalidating.

Weight is based on the number of Google indexed pages per the Google API, PR of the home page, number of ads displayed, outgoing links and other factors.

Noone knows the exact formula but Shawn.

Yes,

I did try. The results is a big fat constant ZERO. HM.
How does the API work?
If I try to ask google about my site (with site:url command) as wedding.pasztorservice.com,
the results: 559-560 pages and PR3.
And if I try it as site:www.wedding.pasztorservice.com, the result is 0.
But I registered this site as wedding.pasztorservice.com
