BANS Alternative in Development - Looking for Alpha Buy ins.

Hello All,

I have been working with ebay affiliate sites for the last 3 months and have watched as BANS have set up shop. What they are doing is good, but not that complicated.

As a result I have been developing my own alternative to BANS, a home made system that does a very good job of making an ebay affiliate site.

The system is of no relation to BANs and as it is coded by me appears different to both the search engine and the end users, My background is SEO so its also very unique and designed to be spider food :D

I have got a small empire of sites that are now working well but would like to introduce a few more people to my mix. My intention is to offer a similar service to BANS, providing you with the technical solution on a subdomain or a domain, all you would need to do is provide some content, your niche, your ad codes etc.

You can either leave all design and technicalities to me or take control of as much as you like, however all critical code shall remain on my servers (don't want to loose all my php ;) .)

If you would like to take part in this bespoke SEO'd alternative to BANS I will accept 10 site requests for now. I am not sure quite on the pricing yet but will offer these initial 10 options at $150 for a subdomain and $200 for any tld (realistic tlds.)

I will not be releasing this into the mainstream for quite some time so take this chance to get hold of a limited opportunity! - Literally want to start with a base of 10 sites and get them working for the owners :D

One of the things I like about BANS is that the code is open and available for personal modifications. While it's a risk to release your source to the outside world (and introduces a whole world of support issues) I think it's one of the strengths of BANS and one of the reasons it's so successful.

I run two dozen different BANS sites currently. How would you propose to charge me for your services? With BANS I paid $97 and I'm free to grow at will. Hosted solutions probably mean a charge per site, which rapidly begins to grow beyond what BANS costs me.

fair point decodethis, I respect your opinion but I have made fairly substancial developments against the idea. With content across pages that makes sure every page is considered different enough to rank well within the search engines. There are improvements that could be made to BANS.

But its your choice, if bans works well enough for you then fair enough.

cheers dude :D Yeah BANS is good, a lot of people get good results - I just tend to like to do things my own way :D

Think I might keep this under wraps a bit longer everyone - thanks for your input - I want to get a few more months of refining, development and some solid proof/results together (plus Im hella busy :D)

I have been using bans for a month. I have been beta and alpha testing things for 9 years. No one has ever expected me to pay for an alpha test. If you really do want to do some serious testing I'd lose the fee until you have a tested product.

Have you seen the features coming to Bans in v3? The Beta is in January.

I agree that your pricing is going to price is high. You may price yourself out of the market before you even have a product. The ability to customize code has also been important to me and would be missed. I have had bans for 6 weeks and have made $162 so far. Happy to test your products if you lose the fee.

Ya, I don't see the benefit in my investment of $150 to test a product that is still in the development stages. I don't mean that as a slight against you, I'm sure the product you are developing is terrific, but I've never heard of an alpha fee.

As far as the BANS fee goes, the software is preforming so well that many of the BANS forum users are requesting a price increase, in order to add exclusivity to the product. Considering I recouped the purchase fee within the first 2 weeks, I guess I know where these folks are coming from. Although, I'm not certain a price increase is necessary.

..but I digress. Good luck with your new product dotwdot, hope you reconsider the paid alpha thing. cheers.

I understand all - I have chosen a different way of doing it now - wrong use of word alpha I suppose :D

In essence I would, had I the time push this to a level similar to BANS, but charge a lesser fee - or maybe even run it free on subdomains for a while, however due to other business developments I do not have sufficient time to create the associated structure :D I will run it fairly exclusively for a few months and get some proven results!
