View Full Version : YPN is becoming very depressing lately

When I first joined the program I was blown away by the amount of revenue I was now able to make from my websites, going from $xx to $xxx per day , I was starting to actually think there was hope for making some good money online. It went pretty good for about 4 months, I was bringing in some cash , I could finnally pay off some of those past over due bills that were sitting on my credit report. Life was great, then bammm 2-3 weeks ago I get hit with a 95% decrease in earnings, a week after that it goes back up only another 10%.
Its kinda depressing how they fill your pockets with a nice income flow and then suddenly take it all away and and act like nothing happened. I think if they want to keep this program ahead of the game, they need to keep paying well cause dont get me wrong or nothing cause I'm totally thankful for the money I made in the past with YPN, but if they dont improve, then I might have to turn back to adsense.

It's still in beta. There are so many variables that it's not going to be very predicatible

and I realise that you know, but it is really scary to see such a huge dip in income , even if it is in beta, i just hope it improves a little better

Perhaps you made so much money, advertisers dropped out of content in Overture Search Marketing. I almost know for a fact that happened with me.

This is why you can't EVER count on a stream of revenue on the Internet. I completely 100% expect my earnings to disappear at any moment so that it doesn't surprise me when it does. Especially with something like YPN that is literally making publishers RICH. Nothing like this lasts forever.
The good news is, with a quality site(s) and hard work, you can always find a way to make money...maybe not as much as YPN pays, but you can still do well.

Everyone knows that Yahoo does not like alot of international clicks. If you call them up and ask them what you should do to stop that, they will tell you that you need to install a script to not show the ads for out of country users. Most of these scripts can cost up to $500. Screw that!
I found this site called Ip2Nation.com awhile back and downloaded their ip database with all the countries. Ip2nation is down for some reason, but I still have a copy of the database! I have moved this database along with a PHP file and a README to my server, and you can download it if you would like. It is free since I found it free! I am 98% sure it works since I have tested it several times.
Here is the link to the ZIP :
gothics-r-us.com/yahoo_ad_fix.zip
not sure when that domain expires, so here is the ip to the file just incase:
70.89.80.74/yahoo_ad_fix.zip
I hope you all can make use of it. If you cannot get the file, it is probably because my internet is down at my house, but it should get back up quickly. Got to love business cable internet!
Enjoy!

Exactly why are you posting this same exact post in more than one thread?

Yeah, situations like that are exactly why I NEVER expect money to come in every month. In this game there are so many variables like decreased payouts, banning, etc... that you can never be for certain that the next check is going to come. With this mentality it makes you much happier when you do get paid.
I would look for your payout to increase again but you never know.
