As i'm sure many of you have been hit with the QS bomb at some point over the past 2 years. If you don't know what I mean, it's when you're cruising along for a long period of time then suddenly your campaigns shoot up to ridiculous amounts and you get the 'quality score' message.
When this first happened to me, I stressed over it for a long time. I made all these tweaks, changes, and did tons of research but to no avail. Every time I made the changes, I edited my ad for a re-review but nothing ever changed. Finally I changed the domain name and all was well. The campaign cruised again for a long period of time.
Well, I got hit with the bomb recently, which doesn't of course shock me seeing as I just 'juked' the system before to get back on, a system that clearly didn't like my landing pages in the past. So, when I changed the domain name this time to get back online, nothing happened. Still the same insanely high CTR to get my campaign back up, which has me worried.
So my question is this, has anyone ever been successful at getting rejected, Fixing your site to their needs, then getting back online? I want so bad for a google adrep to look at my site and say 'wow, now this is exactly what we want' and put it up there for a reasonable CPC, but honestly i'm not sure that is possible seeing as I am an affiliate. I've accepted that google hates me just because I don't have something specific to sell for myself, but i've tried my hardest to keep my pages as niche focused as possible as it is in my best interest more than Googles. And I do way more than just have one single page full of banners and links everywhere. My pages have a bunch of keywords, and a navigation bar linking to other pages on my site which also have more keywords (not spammy though, like a legit site).
So I ask you guys, am I doomed in the Adwords game now, or is it really possible for me to lick my wounds, regroup and get back online? Your opinion is really appreciated as my sites have been my only income source for years now, and it will suck to know that's it for them. Thanks!
