Today, I was going through adwords learning center editorial policies (http://www.google.com/adwords/learningcenter/text/18929.html#18933). There they mention about Superlative and Competitive Claims. (Please scroll down the page)

I wonder whether the word "Genuine" be considered in either of the category or can be used freely in headline?

I think 'Genuine' would be fine.

If 'Top' is fine (I have used this), then 'Genuine' would be ok.

When you create your Ad, Google will let you know straight away if you include anything that they don't like.

"Genuine" means original, not fake. It's not Superlative or Competitive, so I am sure that it's accepted by Adwords.

When you create your Ad, Google will let you know straight away if you include anything that they don't like.

but I have heard that at times they take about one week to disapprove an ad.(in the interim period you are free to run your ad)... but anyway thanks for your reply.

Please let me know if somebody has used this word in any of their campaign before?

I have used this word without issues. Also try "Official" works a treat.

In my experience, a word will only be disallowed if it is comparative (i.e. comparing your product to others), and has no other meanings (as Top would - they can't stop people advertising spinning tops, tracksuit tops or top trumps cards).

So words like great, amazing, awesome, fabulous, super, etc. are fine (since they don't compare you to your competitors).

But greatest, best, cheapest, fastest, etc. aren't allowed.
