Its a bit hard to answer this "is there something i should be doing to get better results with this?" when you havent stated what your results actually are.

What's happened to the traffic figures for your website since to started the Adwords campaign? What about sales, enquiries etc?

What sort of data are you able to glean from Adwords regarding inpressions, clicks, CPC for your keywords etc?

If you are wanting more traffic, then your ads must be relevant to the users search query. A user must be drawn to your ads. A good way to ensure that this happens is to include an ads keyword in the title of the ad and again in the ad's body. 'Call to action' phrases such as 'Book Now!' can help as well.

not knowing your current results or any information, id guess ur bidding on too broad keywords and using broad match as well, instead of phrase match (or exact).

$400 budget per month is quite a lot, you should be getting good results with that budget. Optimize your campaign for better performance.

This may help

hi, Fish....

I checked your website, and i can see, you have some good keywords woking for you, but your website name would be 100 %better, if it had any words in your domain name like: "Sportfishing" "New England" "sailing" harbor cruises. etc. Why did you call Oceanrunnercharter.com? no logic.

1.Your business very local, in New England, MA , which is very good, if you play right.
2. your present domain name has nothing to do with your business and that is your mistake.

No one in California will type Ocean charter? which Ocean , what kind of charter?
but if Person from California travel to New England and wants to go deep sea fishing, they would type: New england depp sea fishing or New england sailing.

As i experiment with google, it is 65% success in the domain name, 35 % keywords and etc.
You have such a great opportunity to be local business and you do not have huge competition with your keywording.

Your name on site: ocean runner sport fishing, useless, should be New England Sport Fishing,
the rest of the Title are not that great. you have "tuna fish" and other fish names , it is a killer for google in your title.

Best title in my view: New England Sportfishing, and you on the second page. which exactly what you want. in few months you get more backlinks related to your website and you will get closer to front page.

Because you website has 4 parts, i would went and bought 4 domain names and did niche website about evey part separate.
Sport fishing
harbor cruises
event hosting
whale watching.

400 a month can be saved for buying backlinks or gifts

Good luck, glad if i can help. Love fish myself on north jersey lakes.

Yes, use something like the first $100-$200 to test market it. That should get you enough clicks to get a fair idea on it's profitability. If you do even go beyond the break-even point, perhaps with a little tweaking you can turn it into some decent profits....:D

My wife has a site called boatsaremypassion.com , you might get many ideas how to improve the content of your site. Your Contact info should be DARK or RED to stand out. Ocean Runner is the name of your boat, You need another webpage with a marketable niche name to funnel customers to your OceanRunner.com site.

Hey fish!
Great way to make your site more visible, get on blog, open blogger account and type shoose carefully names for your blogs, you can have many blogs. They will help you to become number 1 page just with your blog name sample: your blog for example name will be: http://Sportfishing-New-England.bloggerspot.com, and if you type sportfishing new england, it should be number one on search. play around.

your site is not even indexed in google yet. In my posts, i expaining to people, that you need to start thinking about how to promote or get best results from the beginning, from your domain name. Best results are get in your domain name same keywords you will use in the future. Then because you and many of us has huge competition on popular words like in your case "boat", you need to narrow your market and by doint that you can achieve a very good results.

First, your site has to be about location or this is in general? If this general information, then it will be very difficult.

2. What is your site about? does it has niche? Not really. Do you planning to make money? etc.

Internet has so many garbage website, people just think they can open site and it will take off next day with millions visitors.

Personaly, i got lost in your site. need more thinking and get more niche site.

$400 a month is a decent budget. With a good ad and
decent landing page you should be able to get sales.
