I read from google money pro that South Africa is one of the good countries to select for adwords advertising.
What do you guys think?
Other countries are New Zealand, Bahamas, Bermuda, Guam, Zimbawe and United States Minor Outlaying Islands.

Surely this would depend on what it is you want to advertise.

Depends entirely on what you're selling, that should be obvious. South Africa won't work so well if you sell roofing supplies in Wyoming, will it?

I target depending on what I'm selling. There is no set "these countries are good" list.

Good in what terms... If you are referring to Cost per click that depends on competition.. and sure for general keywords number of advertisers in these countries are few but rising.... just as we talk....
In US, India there are already huge list of advertisers raising the CPC levels higher...

Are they good in terms of conversion rate?
South Africa seems to have people who cannot make online purchase because they do not have credit card or Paypal right?
But then I heard some marketer said he make a lot of online sales from South African customers.

Countries don't have a conversion rate....

Countries don't have a conversion rate.... yes they do.
All you have to do is to create an ad group targeted just to that country.
The more countries you target, the less is your average cost.

I find it really strange that you heard South Africa is a good country to target
Because I am from SA and I find this market really difficult to break into. The online revolution hasn't really hit this country in a big way yet. I find a lot more success advertising internationally.
But then again, the others are right, it depends completely on what you are selling.
One of the reasons it might be considered good here is because of our high exchange rate to the dollar. If I'm bidding in rands and someone from the states is bidding in dollars, obviously that person stands at an advantage because I have to cough up more than R7 to match his $1 bid...Not that I would ever bid that much for my niche anyway!
So there are many things to consider, it's not that straight forward.

If you eliminated the countries that would not have a large interetst in your products, that woudl reduce the m=numebr of impressions and so increase the CTR, right?
If the CTR is increased, would that affect the minimum bid set by Google? And if yes, would increase or decrease the minimum bid???
Thanks

it doesn't necessarily mean if you get less impressions then your CTR increases.
because your clicks may decrease by a greater number

The "make money online" business is pretty strong in Singapore. Other countries to be considered are France, Germany, Italy and the other big ones in Europe. Many people speak English there and the make money online market is far away from being saturated.

Excuse me for bumping an old thread.
As far as other nations and adwords, all depending on what you are selling, I would *not* knock off Bermuda.
I lived there for many years, and it can be prime retail due to the uniqueness.
Google it if you doubt me; but Bermuda is quite the business center, and has one of the highest per capita income in the world, above US and Canada, plus *zero* income tax, and is a tiny place [20 sq miles] so there is not much retail available. Locals ship in constantly, and buy online constantly.
Hence you have a lot of people with large disposable incomes, limited brick/mortar shopping available to them, and people who shop online frequently...makes it prime. In fact, some companies have specific website sections just to market to Bermuda.
