Maybe it's a stupid question but I hate this whole Paypal system. Somebody sent me $280 from the UK. Paypal shaved $16 in fees for some reason. Now I can't do anything with this money until I am verified- which turns out to be a very painful and long process. Assuming I will get verified, I want to transfer this money to my bank account in the US and just close this paypal account.

I tried figuring out on the site if this is possible but no clear answer. Maybe you can help me. Is this easy to do with paypal? Are there crazy fees for this? Takes long time?

Thanks!

this is the easiest thing. you can transfer your money to your US/indian bank account easily. there is no fees for 280 USD as it is over the minimum amount to be processed and i think paypal will give you a bit less than current prevailing rate to earn through transfer.
hope it help you

Is your account business or personal? I think when you own a business account, Paypal deducts a certain percent of your money when accepting or withdrawing money. I have a personal account in Paypal and I try to reach the minimum amount of withdrawal so that I get the whole money that I withdraw.
