If I use one product link and someone buys another product?

I am still new to CJ and affiliate business, so I'd just like to make sure this. If I use a product link and someone visits the site via that link and buys a different product, do I still get commission for that?
It would make sense that I do, but I'd rather make sure then just assume it.

yes, you will get the commission as your link (pid) is for the advertiser not the product - so good luck!
