Can I use SBI ATM card (debit card) to sign in Paypal?

I have an SBI ATM card and it can also be used as a debit card. Can I sign into Paypal with that ATM card to become a verified member? The paypal asks about the last 4 digits found on the reverse side of the credit / debit card to become a verified member. But the reverse side of my ATM card has no number at all. What shall I do?:confused:

No you can't use a ATM card to verify your paypal account it has to be credit card.

No mate PP didn't accept debit card. It accept only CC to verify your account

I already tried to added my hdfc debit card which has also 4 digit found on the reverse side of card but they denied it.

They only accept credit card for verification so no ATM card and no Debit Card.

If your debit card has a VISA logo, I know you can use it to verify your account. I have verified a debit card where I was deducted $1.95 for the verification fee and this is alos the debit card where I withdraw my funds.

No, it has to be a Credit Card. Though PP claims they accept Debit Cards also, but no luck with my two Axis and HDFC bank cards.
You can use a VCC though.

same here,I also have state bank of India account and debit card,I tried to verify with debit card but I also failed to verify.Debit card of our sbi isf or electronic use only, only works for ATM purpose only I think.

If Your Have - "Maestro card" then you can't sing in Pay Pal Using this you need visa of Master Card for it...

** Maestro Card is not similar to MASTER CARD**

I think you need to re-read my this post (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=5738747&postcount=6) as i already said that they denied my hdfc debit card which has VISA logo on it.

Maybe it depends on the ATM company. My debit card is actually a cyber account, maybe that's why it worked :confused:

no dude u can't use it , either use credit card or v cc to verify you pay pal , but you can use sbi account for withdrawing money from your pay pal account

Even I faced the same problem. I tried to verified my account using ICICI debit card which has VISA logo and is also international card but in vain.

hdfc and axis bank provides netsafe cards. you can use them and they should be safe for online transactions.

No. Paypal only accept Credit Card VCC. Might be USA USer can verified by using their bank account or Debit Card. PayPal only accept Credit card for verified purpose.

Paypal accept all kind of(visa, master) debit card, prepaid card, and credit card. But for indian user need credit card.
