AWStats Repair in Need, Please Help

so i woke up this morning and turned on my computer, first thing i do is check Adsense, then Adwords to see how much money i spent, then Awstats to check on traffic for the night, but today was different. I got a nice little error notice

Error: Failed to write temporary history file

Setup ('/home/supercar/tmp/awstats/awstats.cgvideos.supercarnews.com.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory).

This happens when i click the Update Now link to update the stats, I am unsure how this has happened, as I looked at AWstats just 12 hours earlier. Could someone please direct me into the repair so i can see my stats.

Just chmod 777 the /home/supercar/tmp/awstats/ directory, including any subdirectory, with an FTP client. All should be ok. :)

thanks for the help Expertu, but I have fixed the problem, it was because i ran out of disk space, so i doubled my account to 2 gb and now all is working, but i had previously tried the permissions, did nothing.
