Paypals bank deposits came faster than expected so I am now verified. I am going to order a domain as soon as I hear from a few of you. I want to order from the right place, and not have any regrets.
I'm leaning towards godaddy or namecheap, but domainsite also comes to mind

Browning,
>>Who do you like?
resellerclub http://resellerclub.com
>>How long have you been a customer?
I have been with them for 4yrs now. I am a reseller there but i dont resell the domain. I register the domains for my personal use. Get them at cheaper rate.
>>Any problems?
None so far. They have always responded very fast to my queries. Every reseller get a dedicated account manager.
They always run promos and i think currently they are the cheapest for .net domains $ 4.99 and .info at $1.69
I fund using my paypal account.
You can check their current promos at http://resellerclub.com/promos/
They have slab based pricing meaning, the higher your volume of transaction with them you get lower pricing.

Who do you like?
Namecheap
How long have you been a customer?
3 months and counting
Any problems?
None whatsoever
Reason I like them is because you can buy a domain in seconds, and transfer it quickly if your selling it.

Gonna go with namecheap. What's the latest coupon, and does it work for .info as that's what I'm buying first:)
Thanks to those who posted:)

thank you. I think the domain I'm buying may be a waste but it's been screaming buy me. Maybe a trademark issue, dunno

If you think its worth buying do it, someone might snap it up. At the end of the day you will only lose a few dollars if it has a TM issue, then just learn from that mistake the next time :p

yea it's only a .info so no biggie. I'll post it here when I get it registered.
Please be honest even if you guys feel it was a retarded purchase lol
Is the whoisguard still a free addon? I'm not seeing any mention of it now
godaddy has cheaper .info? And applying the coupon didnt change anything

Yeah, whois guard comes free with namecheap, and you can turn it on or off whenever you need to. I vote namecheap.

I'm not really sure of the difference, I use Express when registering.

Bad choice or no?

Its not a bad name, but like you say it might have TM issues. But if it doesn't have any TM issues then for your first domain its not a bad one :)

when I found it using a keyword rich domain tool. It said it has like 300,000 searches/year
dunno.
How do I find out what I can/can't do. I'd like to make it an adsense site
glendowney
Dec 13th 2007, 8:46 am
What tool did you use to check the keywords?
I'd go to the domain appraisal section here, and ask to see what others think of this domain, then if no one thinks it will have TM issues, then why not start an affiliate site selling airline tickets or something, if thats possible?

It's showing 203,940 now. I know it can't be right but it's an idea and way higher than the other domains I had in mind lol
http://www.webconfs.com/keyword-rich-domain-suggestions.php
that's the tool there.
I'll make a thread and see what others think.

Also, my whoisguard isn't working. does it take a while to kick in?

I think on namecheap you have to set the whois guard to your name, i'm not quite sure though.

rd-webhosting.com paypal accepted, very easy checkout and management part of the WildWest group so you know the service is good.

I have been using Godaddy. They provide to be cheap. Also most of the registrars tell to register it for 2 years or so. First i was using estdomains. It was also quite better and Godaddy is really good.

Honestly, a bad choice. Why would you want to register a name that's the largest airline in the world that has TM issues? What plans do you have for it?

I think I have a good plan now thanks to another DP member. Make a review site for airlines based in america:)
problem solved, no?
