Ok so here is the contest. well in the end I hope to more out of it but if your wondering its a forums posting contest! Many of them are our there. but special because i said so. :)

I just started a forum attached to my directory forums.computerbuddy.org and i want to get people interested. the Forums idea is a genreal webmaster forum dealing with web content, computers, marketing, and general discussion.

Im looking for some quality responses and new members. not just a bunch of hey im new in the intrduce yourself of no good stuuff in gerneral discussion. Good topics help way more.

The contest is for anyone who wants to participate and can type using good english.

The first 6 people to reach 200 posts will get a sitewide link on my directory for a lifetime and a featured link in the directory in the category of their choice free of charge for a lifetime.

The Directory recieves about 200 unique visitors a day and steadily growing
Plus i have more than 500 sub categories.so that alone is more than 500 backlinks. WOW!

are you going to be marketing this forum as there is 1 link to your site all together on Google Yahoo! AllTheWeb AltaVista Live and the one link is on yahoo and its a internal link, if no marketing no use

I think he's talking about the directory, not the forum.

In any case, it seems like a nice contest. I'm not very good at starting up forum activity though. Maybe I'll join if someone else kicks it off.

Im talking about the directory that recieves that traffic. not the forum. thats why im doing the contest. the directory gets a lot of traffic from other websites but also a lot from search engines. they are both strong sources and im constently getting new visitors.

Just to let you know (ladyfiesta) you posted a huge thread. great content. but not all of your posts need to be that long. they can be much shorter but open to response.

The forum has gotten a good start even with the small amount of members. the contest has started and remember im allowing 6 to 8 people the winning prize so start now.

There is some fresh content to talk about now so there shouldn't be to hard of a problem with coming up with something to talk about. and remember im not looking for essays just so good posts relevent to the category.
