Now that I'm blogging with WordPress I was wondering what plug-ins to get? What do you like?

So far I have installed the Spam Stopper Hack (http://mudbomb.com/archives/2004/11/05/spam-stopper-hack-for-wordpress/) and it worked wonderfully! I may also install a stats plugin as soon as get around to it. ;)

OK... Here is what I am running...

Adhesive:
Allows easy marking of sticky posts.
http://www.asymptomatic.net/wp-hacks

Related Posts:
Returns a list of the related entries based on keyword matches. If this is your first time using this plugin you will need to run the setup script first in order to create the required full text database index.

StatTraq:
This plugin will allow you to keep track of every hit on your public WordPress site (note that it does not track admin activity)
http://www.randypeterman.com/StatTraq/

(I wanted to use this but the font I wanted to have on looked crap)...
Title Images2:
Changes your default text titles into pretty graphical images

That's it so far (And the default plugins)) ;)

Oh, I'm trying to run NicerArchives too, but having some problems getting the php to work right when I try to customise the skin.

You can add custom fields named "head_meta" and "head_link", which will
be converted into <meta> and <link> tags.

Example:
key: head_meta
val: name="keywords" content="foo,bar,baz"

result: <meta name="keywords" content="foo,bar,baz" />

Are my new blog titles SEO friendly for each individual page? Are they to long? (blog link under my username)

They look good to me...

Personally however, I would wrap the h3 tag around the date, and the h2 around the title of the post.

Not quite so good for accessibility, but better for SEO.

I created a WordPress SEO plugin for WordPress 2.0 ( should work on 1.5+ ) that will need Ultimate Tag Warrior installed. It is available on my site at:
http://www.marketingop.us/plugin-page/seo-wordpress-plugin/

This will truly help optimize your whole head section of your site, with meta tags, rss links, and the title.

Unlike other Wordpress SEO plugins, you can not enter any term you wish in the meta tags and title section, this plugin uses certain factors to determin what your information should be, so you have the most relevant information possible in the head section of your blog

Describe a single plugin for Wordpress that you'd recommend.

I'll start the ball rolling with the Social Bookmarks (http://www.dountsis.com/articles/wordpress/social-bookmarks-bar-plugin-for-wordpress.php) plugin by Apostolos Dountsis (http://www.dountsis.com/).
The Social Bookmarks (formerly known as Social Bookmarks Bar) plugin for WordPress adds a list of XHTML
compliant graphic links at the end of your posts and/or pages that allow your visitors to easily
submit them in a number of social bookmarking sites.LINK (http://www.dountsis.com/articles/wordpress/social-bookmarks-bar-plugin-for-wordpress.php)

AdSense Beautifier for Wordpress
I am surprised I missed this. JenSense reported on this Wordpress plugin that makes your AdSense ads more attractive, hence noticeable, hence clickable back on June 27, 2006. She explains that it is not clear if the plugin would be in accordance or not with the AdSense TOS, so it is best to ask Google prior to placing them on your site.

My advice, regardless of what you hear back from AdSense or from other people, is to avoid any and all strategies that draw attention to AdSense ads. If they don't affect click rates, Google probably won't care, but in that case it's a waste of time. If they DO affect click rates, Google will almost certainly conclude that the strategy is a violation of their ToS.

Remember, once Google bans you as an AdSense publisher, you are banned forever. And not just on the site with the violation but from ALL sites you own or may own in the future. Is it really worth it to take that risk?

Why, i think adsense Beautifier is ok with google if you add that border between the images and ads. Adsense plugins for wordpress are pretty good.

Re-read what I wrote above.

If your images result in additional clicks, expect to get dinged.

If they don't, why waste adding to the page load with unnecessary images?

It's a no win situation.
