I'll be the first to admit i'm somewhat new to adwords, but sometimes it just seems weird .
I've got my landing page (in my sig) and some adwords ads and a load of keywords. Only, it tells me i have a poor quality score and that my keyword is not relevant. My landing page and ad are about anti spyware and the keyword in question is "anti spyware". How in world is it not relevant??
Some of my keywords may not totally be relevant, but they are variations etc..
Could someone explain this to me please..

You need to wait sometime before Google analyze your keywords. It's testing them all the time.

Google's Quality Score can be very temperamental and change from day-to-day and like loshara said it can take time for new keywords to have their landing page checked and analyzed.

Consider yourself lucky. The relevancy between my keywords, ad text, and site content couldn't be any more clear and obvious. Yet my QS has been stuck on "poor" for weeks.
I hope you survive.

You don't need to be a genious to get keywords status OK, and if you have Poor, then definately something is wrong, either with keywords/ads/landing page.
The difficult thing is to get Great status, but if yours are poor, make changes

Well, I guess I am a moron then. I've already read all the AdWords help files, off-line guides, articles, blogs, forum threads, friends' emails, support staff replies, and everything I could find about improving QS. I have been making major changes to my campaigns for about five weeks now. I've tried everything under the sun to improve it. It just ain't happening. It's broken.
I don't want to hijack this guy's thread so, I'll start my own.

A common myth is that QS is about improving the Quality of ads and nothing else.
NOPE. While QS *generally* improves ad quality, for those that listen to G's earnings calls (I've listened to 12 in a row), Schmidt, Kordestani and Rosenberg always talk about QS changes and increased monetization in the same breath.
For those whose by-the-book efforts to improve their QS don't lead to the desired changes, take solace in the fact that you can do everything right, but if Google's monetization is optimized by an ad other than your's, you've got no shot.
