Wordpress : How to Stop New posts in my categories from appearing on home page

Hi everyone,

In Wordpress, I made some categories for specific topics and I click on write, insert my context and click only which category I want it to appear under, and then publish. However, even though I don't click on the homepage box, whatever I write still appears on the homepage as soon as I publish, as well as in the category I clicked.

Yes, everything you write displays on the home page. If you don't want posts on the home page, you could set a static page as the home page in the options menu.

The opt in front page (http://www.semiologic.com/software/publishing/opt-in-front/) plugin will just display whats in your category "blog" on the front page.
