I just checked the keywords of the websites that came up at the top of the list when I did my searches. Easy to do by checking the website source code. Then you can check to see where their backlinks are with some of the common tools out there like www.popuri.net. You know what they say, immitation is the sincerest form of flattery:D

I just polled all my friends and family to see what they would google if they were looking for my service. It was amazing that they all pretty much said the same thing. I now it isn't really scientific, but hey, better than nothing. In my adwords search terms, the ones that my friend/family poll came up with are being searched like crazy, too bad my business is not in the search results yet. That must mean a lot of free business for the companies that come up at the top. I was disappointed to see that google updates the page ranks so infrequently. Hard to do anything in the short term except doing adwords I guess.
