Lets say i go to myspace.com and it has PR of8 and i go make a myspace and put a link in my newly created myspace profile which the toolbar shows i have 0 pr. Does that matter? as long as my site link is on a site that has pr 8 it counts even though where i actually have link it says its pr 0???

First, MySpace outbound links are no longer direct via profiles, they go through a proxy msplinks.com or some crap like that. Second, only the actual pagerank on the outbound page counts towards your site.
