View Full Version : I need 1,000 new domains - what's the cheapest way to get them?

Can be any TLD but preferably .com or .net

What's just as important to me as price is domain management. I currently use Godaddy and would never dream of administering 1,000 domains through their interface. Does anyone have any recommendations as to who has a control panel geared towards that number of domains. I'd be willing to pay more per domain for the convenience.

So what's the easiest and most cost efficient way of getting my hands on 1,000 new domains?

Well, I have about 150 .info domains - unused, some have traffic also. Will sell the whole lot for $99. Let me know if you are interested.
All have been registered at GoDaddy.

You should try www.domainsite.com

They have a bulk updater where you can update bulk amounts of domian names to change all there name servers, and all the domain stuff all in one go.

check godady discount domain group. it's can help you. also you can use coupons,
http://www.htmli.info try 10-20% off coupons, with the discount group it's would be 500-700$ for 1000 domains.

Since you want to register 1000 domain, I would suggest you go to mydomain.com, they are cheap, properly cheapest for bulk domain registration, 100+ domain with coupon code " htmli.info " each domain cost only $5.95. Besides, they interface also good for bulk domain, which I experience it. :)

Are you sure godaddy is cheapest? Even you use coupon to register .com they still cost $ 7.20 and above. Many registrars cheaper then godaddy if you register in bulk, for example, mydomain.com, domain.com, name.com, domainsite.com. Count the total price NOT only base price.

Thanks for the replies.

I'd love to use godaddy but I'd never be able to cope with their interface for 1,000 domains - e.g. adding CNAMEs, A records etc.

Unless of course they have some kind of API access which lets me manage my domains through my own interface.

I'll check out the other recomendations.

Check out omnis.com $7 per domain and one of the simplest and easy to use control panels I have ever had the pleasure of using. I managed a few hundred with them at the moment. Just grab one domain from them to have a play with what they have to offer.

i use hostmonster for hosting and their interface for domain management is much better than godaddy.
btw, for 1000 domains, what i suggest is you become a domain reseller ( you will then get their bulk rates ) and you can buy the domains from yourself saving the money.

I dont think it is save to have 1000 domains without real using even with cash parking in future, because already now situation is problem caused by domain resellers and maybe in future will be some new restrictions/laws as for .eu now

My money goes to GoDaddy. Even if they are not the cheapest they will give you the best service as far as I"m concerned.

Just don't get 1000 domains tied up with some crappy registrar that won't let you transfer them or has other limitations, make sure to read the fine print and then ask for others' opinions once you have narrowed your choices down to one or two.
