Hi,
Can any of you fellow developper shed inhabitants recommend a good book about spidering/indexing technology. Coding examples and guides etc. I'm looking for.
I know how to simply code some php/sql to capture site content but I reckon this is not quite how the real spiders do it.
I just need my own searcheable cache of a bunch of sites we and others keep so nothing too high-tech.
Is there a coding book out there which talks specifically about spidering technology? Preferebly conceptually as well as coding-wise. I've tried to search amazon but to no satisfactory result. Any ideas?
