I'm from India and verified recently through debit card tied to my savings bank account. The card is visa branded.

However, it couldn't be added to PayPal unless I enabled netbanking option through my bank.

I am from india too...What you said is very interesting for me... I tried many different debit cards and none of them worked for me.. visa branded, mastercard branded. I finally gave up.

Can you please tell me which bank debit card did you use ?

i'm from the philippines and i had mine verified with a debit card. bank name is Unionbank, if anyone is interested to know. just make sure the debit card has some cash, because paypal will have to charge you for the verification, i think's about $1.5

For those Indian friends asking about my debit card used to verify PP, it's :

VISA branded International Debit cum ATM card (IDBI Bank, available with savings bank account)
One has to activate their netbanking facility else it won't be accepted by PayPal.
