I want to be able to tell where my users are coming from, or referred from, whats the best software for this?
Google Analytics is nice, there are many. Measure Map is also good.

or else use awstat from your domain cpanel or other web stats feature.
Apart from all i guess this post should be moved to Traffic analysis section to get more info/replies;)

I would start with awstats. It's an open source log file analysis package that comes standard with most hosting providers.
Log into your control panel and look for something that says "Web/FTP Stats" Then follow the links to awstats.
As you become familiar with it you will gain the knowledge needed to determine the right long term solution.

Mine also but you've got to have an invite and the tone of the poster leads me to believe that he's not yet very skilled in the ways of the web. I apologize if that's not the case Blackcherrynews!

I signed up for Google Analytics but I guess there are sooo many people joining that I'm wating for an invite.

You might try statcounter or sitemeter if you don't have a lot of traffic. statcounter allows you look at the past 100 visitors for free. They have paid options as well.
