Google have page rank. Some also come up with page strength.
But what is the good old simple yardstick to rank your site in Yahoo's eyes?

Search engine optimization is the key for ranking on all search engines. Along with the onpage optimization, link building, good content plays a vital role in ranking on all search engines.
One difference ranking on Yahoo compared to Google is Yahoo gives more weight on meta keywords then Google.

I'd love to know the magic formula, I have sites ranking well in MSN and google (more so in MSN), but absolutely no traffic from yahoo. I'm ranked so far down its like being in a black hole. Does anyone know what the preferred keyword density is for yahoo? or at least have a guess?

Yahoo's traffic is much less as compared to google but still it cant be ignored. That low traffic is also too much and means a lot

Take a look at this... I created this blog in about an hour. It was listed in Yahoo the next day and it's getting about 400 page views a day...all from organic yahoo search engine traffic. I still can't even get it listed on google....I can't figure it out.

I wish I could find out the secret so I could duplicate it with other sites and landing pages.

is it really true that yahoo spiders focus more on the keyword of a web page and the density of it including meta tags? does you also consider backlinks coming from sites that has a high page rank?

But google doesn't like keyword stuffing, so what's the way out or should we narrow down our choices either google or yahoo ?

Just pay Yahoo - Search Sponsor
Yahoo even gives priority to search submit clients for indexing of web pages
As for me, Google is the search engine that provide true and quality search results

Yahoo seems to give more importance to on site SEO techniques than Google, which focuses primarily on the number and quality of backlinks.
