How much does it cost to renew a domain name? It seems to only give info on first time registers

I don't know about name.com, but most registrars charge the same amount for a renewal as a new registration - at least within a couple dollars.

Usually it's the same, but some offer discounts per year if you buy a few years of registration at once...

Not too sure about renewals, but I don't think that they would give you $5.99 renewals as this is below cost

It's very weird. I tried to find the price table on name.com but never got it. =_="

Well, when I click 'Renew' against my domain name, it shows that the renewal fee is $7.99 . Hopes that helps.

one of my friends registered a domain name from dh2.com, paid 10$ for registrations, and now, after 1 year from then, they request him 70$ for renewal.
mainly 10$ is for renewing a domain.
