$150 Contest - Simple Website Template With Logo - 3 Days Only

I've just found this section and have been watching with great interest the huge amount of creativity that goes into these contests and I couldn't help but release my own.

US$150 is up for grabs in this 3 day contest (payment will be made via paypal after the winner is publicly announced on the 10th of November).

I require a simple website template for http://www.LightningPop.com using a design similar to what has been uploaded there (ie the rounded corners with header, footer, sides enclosure no buttons etc). This template will not only be used on the website but also used in the GUI of the application.

Will need a unique logo to be used on the header and footer.

I see the logo having a yellow lightning bolt with a 3D or Raised look.

The logo will also need to used for a much smaller "Powered By Lighting Pop" which will be used on the bottom of every pop up that the application creates.

This competition will last 3 days (the shorter the better right?) and will close on the 9th of November. I will publicly announce the winner on the 10th of November.

I will endeavor to give feedback quickly to everybody who submits a design/logo... I will also give notes on which design/logo I like the best so far.

Thanks for your entry... and sorry for the slow response (I just started work ;-) )

It's a great start and it has a lot of elements that I like such as...

I like the writing style... and the blue Lightning with the red subtitle underneath... I think that goes well.

I don't think the red Pops goes well. BTW it's www.LightningPop.com not Pops.

I like the lightning background

The monitor with popup doesn't do much for me. Remember this will be used in the application... so I want it less 'salesy' and more professional and unique.

With the logo... I like it except for what I said about the Red Pops.

It will need to be smaller than the smallest one you have there so it needs to look good and readable at that size... no need for subtitle and I want LightingPop.com

Footer looks good.. that is the perfect size and a great style... just the red pops again.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your positive feedback. I'll make the modifications for you, no problem.

By the way I think it's a good idea to separate the contest as well. I don't have a lot of experience designing logos.

I think you'll probably find someone here who could do a much better job on your logo than myself.

I hope you'll still consider my template though. Designing site layouts and coding is more my strength.

I'll post here again when I do the mods for you.
