Do You think google is still on its commitment?

I am saying this because i am checking the google updates and activities for last 1.5 years

And i feel, Google is giving the importance to the paid links and also who are using the google adwords rather than well optimized sites, good directory links and many more.

People says this to get good back links you need link from those have:-

1. Good quality and relative content
2. Good optimized sites means good op-page work.
3. Good pr page
4. and many more

But i think google does not give the importance to the good links
I feel google is earning money and avoid good optimized sites. Because all the top sites have paid links and using google adwords by any keywods by any products. If you analysis all the top ranking you will feel this.

Google is a money machine for itself. All other are getting breadcrumbs.
Google started as a search engine, but actually I cant really tell you what it is. I fear Google itself doesn't know where is going.
Orkut is in deep koma, YouTube, imo, has been over-estimated and causing them more copyright issues than benefits, doubleclick aquisition is under the axe of antitrust. Google answer has been defeated by yahoo.
Plus, they lost lawsuits about aggregate news (google news) in several countries (and that's a real hit in their search core business)
Last but not least, the complete opacity in the adwords/adsense business (MFA, arbitrage, undisclosed percentage of click fraud and lack of protection about it for both advertiser and publishers).
Till now, they have been very lucky, because their main competitors (yahoo, MSN/live, Ask) have been playing solitaire on the PC and lost the train, but another one could just be around the corner (and I am waiting for it).
It would be no surprise to see google blow like no other.
