View Full Version : Bidding Directories now have no excuses for lack of content!

Many complaints about bid directories come from lack of content.
To counter this several steps were taken :
- The longer description mod was enabled
- People added blogs and other content to their site
- People added categories rather than the letter based navigation
- The new phplinkbid release is set to include sub-categories for a better user experience, and also a more structured navigation/content path.
But due to several requests from many, as a mod creater for phpLB I have created a new mod. The mod will be great in adding original content to bid directories and expanding their site.
The mod is an article mod, and will be released in a few days for FREE.
This is not an announcement, this is a post hunting for feedback and any additional features bid directory owners are looking for:)

yes! that's what i was looking for!
I told ya some 4 months back, that our bidding directories need this mod badly, but no one really listened to me! but then am really happy to see this mod in action! looking foreword to use this mod.
Content is important for every directory, and bidding directories were probably the most less content directories, now it's a foreword move!:)
looking foreword to see this mod,

Mikey,
As you pretty much know, I am new to the concept of owning bidding directories but try my darn hardest to make them great.
With the Mods you have and the new release of PHPLB expected soon I am tempted to go for the whole package on that and start another Bidding Directory. Especially considering some of the domains I have recently purchased.
Keep up the good work mate;)

One day i hope that will happen. Today my site started being cached again:)

That would be fine, but whats the point? I dont see any purpose, thats all.

Mike, I really admire your strength and effort to prove what you stand for. I would say best of luck, but luck isn't really a big factor here.
Just keep up the good work and I am sure Zorg will be back very soon.

When I decided to dip my foot in the bid directory (http://www.topurlsearch.com) market I did it with phpld and utilized the built in article integration, my home page got a PR4 on this update and almost all my articles got a PR3, page rank aside it is nice to see them all well indexed and even getting some search traffic for their keywords.
I think bid directories should try extra hard to include usefull content to drive as much quality traffic as possible to their customers.
