Today, Google like Directories ?

What do you think? Today, Google likes directories ? I mean, submit a website to many directories really help ? What do you think? :)

Can't hurt. Some directories are being penalized as far as their position in the SERPs, but I can't find hard evidence that a link from these directories don't help SEO your site.

back link is always a good thing; only linking to bad-neighborhood is a bad idea.

As you can see, 95% of the directories, Google drop PR, Yahoo, etc etc...,

PR of my directory has been constant for 2 years (PR5) and is in my .sig

I see no drop off in the # of submissions either. If anything it has gone up recently.

Google only likes "himself" and, of course, adwords. Oh, missed something: "he" also likes wikipedia "who" will soon belong to "him" as wife; the same way that happened with youtube and orkut :) Isn't Google and intelligent guy, then?

The reason i think many directories dropped PR is because they were caught buying or selling links which in directories thats how many earn their money, but i recently updated my list of directories alot of PR5 directories went down but on the other hand the lower pr directories gained. My pr0 directory went to PR3.
