is there a thing which you put in your adsense code called a hint where you put keywords of the ads you want to be placed.

because this is from a site

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-xxxxx";
google_hints = "translations gadgets celebrities celebrity tattoos fashion music films actress actor musician";
google_ad_width = 728;
google_ad_height = 90;
google_ad_format = "728x90_as";
google_ad_type = "text_image";
google_color_border = "FFFFFF";
google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
google_color_link = "800000";
google_color_url = "ff6600";
google_color_text = "003366";
//-->

can anybody use the hint thing to get better ads related to the content

Thanks

NO!

That's NOT section targeting, Why would you say that Forgotten! Ahhh

Simon, that's modifying your AdSense code = BIG NO NO!

_____________________________

This is Section Targeting:

To implement section targeting, you'll need to add a set of special HTML comment tags to your code. These tags will mark the beginning and end of whichever section(s) you'd like to emphasize or de-emphasize for ad targeting.

The HTML tags to emphasize a page section take the following format:
<!-- google_ad_section_start -->

<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

You can also designate sections you'd like to have ignored by adding a (weight=ignore) to the starting tag:
<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->

With these tags added to your HTML code, your final code may look like the following:
<html><head><title>Section targeting</title></head>
<body>
<!-- google_ad_section_start -->

This is the text of your webpage. Most of your content resides here.
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
</body>
</html>

is using that hint thing a bad idea then and if so why would google even make it, if its not really allowed?

To add googe_hints to your code you will have to edit your code which is against adsense tos.

Those parameters are only used by adsense premium publishers (for which you need to have more than 20 million pageviews)

You can find the entire list of adsense variables here http://gandolf.homelinux.org/~smhanov/blog/?id=21

Totally agreed with max_ds...
please dont try to play with your adsense codes.. as it is against there TOS and you just might get Banned... :(

agreed..
unless its approved by adsense, its against TOS.
Section Targeting is a different thing as you do not need to edit your ad code.

if you want to use it, you'd better contact google first, for the permission.

maybe you wont need permission to use if you are premium publisher.

I believe that a premium adsense ad looks different than the conventional ads because they can modify the fonts and more formatting options I think.

Wow, Weird! I just bought that Arabic word as an IDN last night (http://www.tattoos-by-design.co.uk/translations/ProdImages/arabicl.jpg)

Adding something of relevance, that site does not look like it's a premium publisher.

Wow, that looks awesome.

الايمان means faith according to Google translator. Hate to take the thread off topic, but did it hurt?! How long did it take for that design?

iy your gonna get it done check with somebody who speaks the language as google translator is a bit bad sometimes. you can translate it into a different language tehn translate it back and get a different thing

it tuck about 1 hour 30 - 40 nd it hurt at first but after a while it kinda numbs. the pain is still there but you get used to it so it doesnt really hurt anymore.

Thanks
