I downloaded it yesterday.
The feature I liked was that it displays Phone-out balance and look is good but its sluggish

No it isnt. its just that Gtalk is simple and more like a graveyardic atmosphere. Yahoo! Messenger is like a party time. :D

Is there a difference depending on where you DL from?
It's still missing the one feature that I miss from Trillian. It doesn't show me when each user was last online. With Trillian I could click on the name of a contact and it would show me when they were last logged in, whether I was logged in at that time or not.

Other than MSN I didn't download any non multi platform IM in years. Trillian and/or pidgin (who the hell came up with that name?) do a great job. Though I heard the new version of ICQ is great too...

Download Links(Full Installers)
http://us.dl1.yimg.com/download.yahoo.com/dl/msgr9/us/ymsgr9us.exe
Trick to download full installers, just add a "y" in original 340KB installer's filename in link.
For example above Links for 340KB sized installer was(provided by Y! site):
http://us.dl1.yimg.com/download.yahoo.com/dl/msgr9/us/msgr9us.exe
I just added y in front of filename to make it complete download. I don't know why Yahoo! hides the full installers from public downloads.
This trick will work for all versions of Yahoo! Messengers and of all languages and all country versions of Y! Messengers.

If you have a larger list its a waste of time finding a name. The speed is improved in 9.0 but I'll rather stick with the 8 version.

Well, I use pidgin (www.pidgin.im) and it works well for me. Supports almost all IM providers and less bloated than all.
Go for it if you really don't need the bloat and all bells & whistles. :D

I hate 9.0! It has an alright interface but all out they went to far with it. I don't like the pm's where it don't show your name on every line that can get confusing when people type alot

That's right . I hate that feature to where your name is not repeated in chat. It forms a paragraph. For those who are wondering I am saying is:

Even though you know you eventually will end up having to download the latest version, for some reason there are some of us that want to hang on to the old just a little while longer. My reasoning is usually because I'm waiting for them to get all the bugs out first. The current version that I'm using continues to open and close at will, as if it has a mind of it's own. It interrupts games that I'm playing constantly, so I hope downloading this version will either fix that problem or....well, let's just hope it doesn't make it any worse lol!

That part is weird... But I'm used to it now and it doesn't bother me too much...
But the auto imbed on the photo sharing ROCKS! And I linked to a YT video yesterday and it started with the Watch With Me feature so we could both watch the same video at the same time while we were chatting!! Awesome!
Where can we go to submit feedback? I'd like to suggest a feature or two... ;)
