Great content. You might increase the length of the pages, so that the tutorial doesn’t take 8 pages.

I like the overall concept and think there is a market for people interested in learning how to do these effects.
Personally, I found navigation around the site very difficult. Once I'd moved away from the tutorials it was difficult to find them again. Having two menus, one of the left side and one at the top also caused me some confusion.

Hello Gringo.
I just went over your site. I spent my time checking links... looking at layout... looking at content and overall design.
My Review
Domain Name
Your domain name doesn't reflect your site name and logo.
Logo & Header
Your logo and header do not do your website justice. I think that they should be designed beyond what you offer. This will give your site the credibility it needs to gain and keep users.
Navigation
The 3 common navigation buttons are missing. These are: Home, About & Contact... I'd recommend you have these.
When I go to your tutorials. I was lost for quite a while. I'd recommend that you re-consider your tutorial section... on how people can access them much simpler.
Search
Your search bar seems to have a problem. Please see image below:

PhotoPix Ad
Your photopix ad is to big. It takes up so much content space that would deter someone wanting to use your site for learning.
Template
I found the template to be very busy with many alternating colors. Even though the colors are not far off from each other... they do make the site look busy. I'd suggest doing away with colors that are not needed... like in the left ... 'polls' ... on the left again 'main menu'
Google Ads
You can blend your ads a bit so that they are not so contrasting... maybe a grey..
I do hope these help points help you with the future of your website.
Respectfully.

A little confusing site. I like the content but you should organize it better.
