Hi,
What is the Bounce Rate in Google Analystics and is it bad if my Bounce Rate for organic traffic is more than 75%?
Thanks!

I think the bounce rate is visitors who visit your site and don't click any links on it. If you have a blog and people are visiting for a specific story or stories I wouldn't worry too much about a high bounce rate.
I'm not absolutely sure about this but it seems my blogs have a higher bounce rate than my forums.

75% is a very high bounce rate. For search traffic, you'd want to get it under 50% to be acceptable.

Bounce rate in the important thing that we have to concentrate. Depend on the bounce rate, we have to analyse why people going back from our site. If bounce rate is less then, it is possible to convert a goal. So moderate bounce rate should be 25 to 50%

can someone explain this a little more clearly please?
does a hit count as 'bounced' if they come to your website and then click on an adsense ad and leave?

Guys, dont confuse the kid.
Bounced rate is also directly related to adsense. So we can't say XX bounced rate is good.
If u r getting way too low bounce rate it means you might have pathetic CTR.
If people click on adsense ad and leave your site, its counted as bounce rate.

Bounce Rate is showing the percentage of people which enters your site from a page and leaves without navigating your site. So %75 of people just saw your page and without checking out any other pages leaved your page.
You must try to get it lower by improvings design or getting more user friendly. You can check my page for some desing tips which got my bouncing rate decreased

Yea, bounce rate is usually high. Getting returns on each visitor requires a very well thought out presentation, you really want to catch them on the first glance. Usually flash sites are the most appealing at first glance. I offer flash templates for anyone who needs, $5/each. PM me for more details.

in a nutshell
bounce rate is what it says someone visits your site and leave without looking around other pages in your site

so a 100% bounce rate would be great if they are all clicking an ad the instant they get to the site
