You could use site explorer (https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http%3A%2F%2Fyourdomain.com&bwm=p&bwms=p&fr=yfp-t-501&fr2=seo-rd-se).

Basically it's the same as in Google. I assume you're inquiring about the sitemap.xml, not the sitemap.html visible on your website. Use any of the various good sitemap.xml generators and upload the sitemap.xml to your host.
Then open a Yahoo! Site Explorer account (free), and add your website(s). Then click around to the page for adding sitemaps/feeds. It's self-expanatory.

There is an option there. In the home page of yahoo, type in link:yourdomain.com. After the search, you will saw something like this (https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/advsearch?ei=UTF-8&p=http%3A%2F%2Fcomingsoongmoviesmc.blogspot.com&=&=&=&searchbwm=Explore+URL). Just click again the explore site. You will be able to see "If you want to track a Site, add it to My Sites ". Click the "add it to my site" link. :D

Just put this into your robots.txt file:
Sitemap: /sitemap.xml
(obviously change the instruction to where you sitemap is actually located)
This in now the recognised bot instruction across most of the web. Placing this in you robots file will tell the yahoo bot where your sitemap is.

And, with Yahoo, possibly also get the sitemap itself indexed so that it shows up in the Search Results :(

Yes, that is correct. It works fine, and they'll go look at your sitemap.xml quite soon after you submit it.

As a correction to this make sure you put the full url of the location of the sitemap when using this robots.txt inclusion.
For instance,
Sitemap: http://www.mywebsite.org/sitemap.xml
Everything will be hunky dory then :)

Crawl rate varies depending on the site. If you have a site where content changes more frequently your site will get crawled more often. Yahoo keeps a history of things like that to determine how often the bot should crawl.

Awstats produces visual statistics about visitors of your site. It gives detailed analysis of your visitors and what bots have crawled your site and also where your traffic is coming from. If you have cPanel hosting, you should have AwStats.

Sort of, it's based on your server, you don't have to add code to your page as with google analytics.
It usually, but not always, comes as a free feature when you rent server space.
For monitoring a website I would use Google Anayltics and Awstats
