I just bought a domain name for about $2k, and the guy recommended I stay with either network solutions, or another one (don't remember the name). I have all my other domains at godaddy, and would like to move the new one there too.

My question, is godaddy not a trusted registar? Why should I stay at network solutions instead? I get the feeling they probably make a commission or something if I stay instead of transfer.

Thanks for any input.

i have been using Directnic for years and never had a problem.
They are pretty much serious and easy-to-manage.

quality but expensive.

if you have no problems with godaddy then just transfer your domain to them. it does not make sense paying the extra $$ to a regstrar when you can pay $.

I have moved my domains to GD from network solutions and regsiter . com I have no issues

Yeah, basically it's just with good domains keep them with a well-known accrediated registrar such as NS or GoDaddy.

What he likely meant was don't go with mom&pop r us domains.
