Does Azoogle run their own offers?

That's a big no-no. Azoogle creates their own offers, on the advertisers side of things. I think that might be what the OP was asking.

Yeah, I've asked my AM that question before and he said they weren't allowed to promote Azoogle offers...There are tons of reasons for this

I asked if AMs were noncompetitive and he danced around the question pretty well, said that he makes money when I make money and he works for me yadda yadda. My friend signed up under me and got the same AM and he tells me that the AM has suggested all the offers that I do well on :P This doesn't bother me all that much, but he didn't say "no we do not compete with affiliates"

My guess would be they are barred from promoting offers for the network they work for, but it's all game for them to promote on other networks, but who knows.

Ok, well i have a theory that the AM may not personally promote the offer but Azoogle owns and operates sites and advertises them the same way an affiliate would. So technically, no the AM does not run the offer but Azoogle the company does.

Then the AM says look at this site, it does X number of leads/dollars a day to get you to try it. Then again, could be I'm just frustrated as hell because the numbers just aren't "adding up".

I don't speak about AM's, but I know that as a company, Azoogle does affiliate marketing.

Azoogle does have search contract with such firms as Blockbuster (ironic how Azoogle, which pretty much really screwed over BB for 2 months due to affiliates violating terms like crazy, now has their search contract), and I know that they have been hiring search marketer positions out at their California office - Not sure exactly what their deal is, but I did receive a recruiting email from their recruiter for a search position last year.

even if your AM was allowed to do PPC on their own network (or another) just as an affiliate would do - which they are generally not allowed to do - why would they bother taking the risk when they could just make a small risk-free commission off of your traffic? or have I missed the point althogether?

I think what john269 was saying is that he would promote the network to get more affiliates and not the offers.

I also think we've established that the AM's don't personally run offers. My suspicion is that the network (i.e. company) runs the offers.

i think we are all forgetting one thing. money.

put yourself in their position, they (am's) have an enormous amount of data at their disposal. If you were an AM for azoogle and there was another network (nevertrueads), would you take the knowledge you have and make money with it? It's not against the law, however it may be against the companies policy.

I'm not 100% sure how much AM's get paid (maybe around 80% sure) but it wouldn't surprise me if some make more money off promoting offers with different networks than they do at their dayjob as an AM. Think of it like affiliate reconnaissance.

Yes Azoogle runs their own offers on their advertising side. There AM's are not suppose to run the offers.. and honestly the smart and good ones won't because why should they put in more time on trying to figure out campaigns when they can assist people aready doing well and just get a cut. The whole thing is you have to have the drive and honestly most AM's dont' could they copy things yes be even knowing the landing page someone is using doesnt give you a gold mine there is more to it than that.

I agree, and believe that AMs don't run the offers and it wouldn't make much sense for them too for various reasons.

Personally I like to know all the behind the scenes information. I'm always interested in knowing all the details, thus the reason I asked the question.

For me, Azoogle has been a great company to work with and if it wasn't for them, I might not still be self employed.

This is true... but Enron wasnt suppose to give false information... and we all know how that ended ;)....

Unfortunately these days even though you sign a sheet of paper saying you won't doesn't mean you bide by it...

I mean in most normal work environments require you to sign a deal that you will only use the PC for work related activities and how many people check personal email etc... anyways......
