Only Yahoo will decide this decision. I hope it will be public. Webmatsers need more reliable alternatives.

Wait, in one reply you say its a 7 year old company, but then you say its a new company. I am confused because i am also looking for an alternative to what I am using.

Also, 7 years?

Yahoo will never go public, or at least they won't go international. Their team repeatedly mentioned that going international is an extremely long way to go, and that they had no plans whatsoever to support non-us people. YPN is obviously under a bad management. They're more snobbish than Adsense's, not to mention that they're racists.
I suggest you don't wait for YPN to get started making money, as it's made to take commissions from you anyway. You should pull up some advertising script like OpenAds and sign up for a credit card processing account to allow your site audiences to send you streams of cash into your pocket. You can make 300% more than Adsense or YPN.
As for WidgetBucks, it's not generic enough to put on every website, because they put the word "Shopping" or "Buy" everywhere. These words stand for "money going out" to visitors. You see, many people or maybe most of DPers like to have money going in, not the other way around.

u have evidence of "racism" on the part of YPN? Post it if u do. That's a very serious accusation.

YPN is sux, but they are available in US only because of their sux management, not because they are racist.

it would make sense to allow it to everyone, how can one company have such a monopoly on something so simple and be making so much money from it. Is it that difficult to get it right?

Yahoo is seriously dumb. Why wouldn't they go public? More publishers to display ads on.

What is the reason why they allow only Americans to sign up? I don't think it's because of BETA. Americans can test the product so can non-Americans. In fact, if they ever wanted to go global, they would have allow everyone to test it equally.
Remember, long time ago before YPN used the geo-targeting filter, if you happened to show YPN ads on non-us traffic, you could get banned. The word is "SEGREGATION". They asked you to segregate non-us visitors from viewing the ads. Don't ask me who got banned because of this. Search for the older threads. You'll find more than plenty.

Well, that wouldn't be about racism. That would be about location. America has all races. If you are in America Yahoo allows you in the program, regardless of your race. If you are outside America, or your website visitors come from outside America, you don't get to participate in the program.
I had 7% non-U.S. traffic and got banned.
Are they fools at Yahoo? Obviously yes. Are they racist? No indication at all of that.
