Is there a place I can store, videos and images, that I can link from the site so that I viewers can see it. I'm not willing to pay $5 for every extra 50 MBs. Anyone have the way to keep videos for cheap somewhere?

Not sure this is the right forum, but it is Graphics and Multimedia...anyways...

Thanks in Advance.

Give up the hosting account and get one at godaddy:

Economy Plan:
• 5 GB Space • 250 GB Transfer

4$ a month :)

Depends on your monthly budget.
Dedicated servers are around $70 (160Gb of disk space, illimited bandwidth) or $36 (40Gb of disk space, 300Gb of bandwidth).

Alternatively, you can search Google for "dedicated hosting server."

Good Luck!

Would you really need a dedicated server for that?

I think you could also use online file storage for this, i never had to do this so maybe i am wrong but it looks helpfull. There are free ones and paid.

In this search i encountered this one as well and looked perfect for the job.

yeah, that' s the main reason I looked into this...but xdrive makes people who access your files sign up, and I'm not sure you could hotlink to them. What about bandwidth on their part?

The better questions are :

1) Why are you storing these online
2) Are they legal to hold.

yes, they are legal, me and a buddy are planning on adding an area where users can submit their videos. My Friend wants to upload one of his videos he did, which is like 30 mbs....at that rate, I'd only be able to upload 27 videos...I need more space.

Xdrive provides 50Gb for $10 monthly and i think you can access them through a link.

Did you find anything in the search of google i linked above? Surely there must be something in it ;)

Another option is this online storage service.

I learned about this from a post in a different forum and it's great. It allows you to store and share files. You can upload the file to their server and generate a share link to mail it across.

Hope this is useful.
