Help!!! I'm a Noob and I need help posting my frontpage and uploading a template.

Hello everyone and Thanks in advance.
:(Again I'm a noob to web design. I use 3host.biz as my host for the internet. I cannot seem to post the page I want to post. Whenever I upload a file from Text edit or notepad it does work. But, I'm lost after that what should I click to make my upload a front page. The options next to my uploaded file are Delete, rename, download, Edit, and Permissions in sequential order.
Also whenever I try to download a template it comes in a zip format. This format is difficult for me to work with because whenever I unzip the fill it breaks it up into to many parts and I can only upload 2 files on 3host.biz I downloaded a free template named js_empire. it broke it up as follows Ex. (CSS)Folder, Image(folder), JS(folder), Index(HTML), Index(php), template_thumbnail(png), templatedetails(xml). Know what am I suppose to do with all this. I have no clue what to upload. Also if you know of any new free Templates could u let me know. Thanks again, I just need to be pointed in the right direction.:)

for the file that you want to be seen as first page, you will need to name it index.html or index.php depending on what its coded in.

secondly, there is no way you can get it into one file(your template)

the best thing to do is search or ask 3host.biz how to connect to their ftp server, and then upload the files by ftp

Thanks for the help its hard out here for us new folks on the internet. out of the 16 people who saw my post only one person answered, but maybe you were the only one who knew the answer. Anyway I wanted to thank you.
I took the time out to look at ur blog I thought it was really cool. I was wondering how u got ur music to be on the side. Every time I post music its were the paragraphs are. I also was wondering if u had started that adsense thing with google, because I hadn't seen any ads on ur blog. I'm pretty sure u could get plenty of people to come and if u had ads up its free money so y not.
O yeah and the template thing if they don't allow me to FTP the files how else can I put a template up. I have a website and it looks pretty boring without a template. And don't u have to Download a FTP application to do a file transfer if so could would u happen to know were a free one is?

actually, that isn't my blog. it's my friends blog, since i don't keep my own blog =)

secondly, that music jukebox player is probably a php script that embeds the music in there with choices. if you search for a jukebox script you can probably find a few.

not sure why he doesnt keep ads.

you can get ws_ftp, cute_ftp, smart ftp, or lots of other ftp programs. i personally use ws_ftp (or did when i was on windows) but i don't think its free (not sure on any free ftps, but they all give trials)

theres not really any other way unless you ftp into the server and do it. or you can manually upload them all
