I was wondering if the amount of submissions you usually receive on your directory has decreased recently over the past few months due to Google "penalizing" link sales? Are web-owners buying any directory links now?

It'll be great if you can post your directory link and let us know how much submissions you use to receive as oppose to now.

Its hard to tell. Submissions have dropped since august, but are similar to june and july. So idk if its the highs of august or the google issues.

Yawn...
Everyone is always interested in someone else's submissions for some reason...

Submissions seem to have been fairly level for me, no obvious drop off.

All business is cyclical, the directory business has busy periods and not so busy periods too

Its what happens in any and every market :)

Have to agree whole heartedly with this statement. No need to seek this type of information from anyone. How many submissions anyone gets at any given time is dependent mostly on who is running the directory and what they are doing to set themselves apart from the rest.

Each directory is responsible for it's own success. Or failure. Nobody else, not even "Goog".

I kind of agree there.

But I think for any business requires promotion & marketing. It's an ongoing thing.

Look at Coke or Pepsi.

submissions are slow on all paid directories of mine! but on my free directory i get about 300+ submissions daily, sometimes even more!:D

Though am getting some occasional submission in the paid directories also, so the submissions have not dried up, they have slowed down a bit!
