View Full Version : Do you think you'll get paid by WidgetBucks?

It seems people are split 50-50 over widgetbucks. Some people have gone full steam ahead with it, whilst others are skeptical. The skeptics seem to be wondering whether or not people will receive payouts from widgetbucks.
So I thought I'd start a poll. Which camp do you fall into, the "yes I think I'll get paid" camp, or the "no, you guys will be lucky to ever see a cent" camp?

I'm not voting, because I don't know and haven't signed up yet... I'm waiting to see if the first round of DPers get paid or not...
Looking forward to the poll results :)

With the amount some people are reporting there earnings to be, I think we'll know within a month.

I'm cautiosly optimistic - I've signed up, and I'm running it as a backup for other ads at the moment. I think they will pay.

I think widgetbucks will turn into what auctionads did when it got purchased. It they are padding the clicks, like auctionads was, then its doomed for failiure. .48 a click with no site verification. Please, the old adage is true. When something is to good to be true, it is just that. To good to be true. Amazing how people forget the past so fast.

I'm in the same boat as you. I have a lot of websites but I don't have any advetising space to waste testing out a new program. I learned my lesson with replacing some Adsense with Auction-Ads and TLA and after about two months, I lost a chunk of revenue. I might try one small zone on a newer site with this program but right now Adsense and CJ are my best performers.

I think they will pay. Im not sure how much. I think that cost per click will drastically fall. I dont think they can continue to support a network on .40 per click. It will probably go down to .15-20 or maybe even lower.

Maybe they will get bought out by some successful mogul and then it will be successful. :)
Anyways, they will have to lower the PPC in order to keep the program running successfully. The products are pricey, but they need a high conversion rate as well.

Can someone please inform me why I received an infraction for my original post here?
The reason listed is:
"Attacking/Harassing Other Members"
But I'm not sure how I've attacked or harassed other members??? This is bizarre, I don't think I've attacked or harassed anyone have I??
Could someone please enlighten me??

Weird, I am only getting around $0.2 per click - those who are getting $0.4+ what products are you running on widgetbucks??
They will definitely pay - but it'll be interesting to see how the rest of it goes.

I've been hovering between mid $0.2 and $0.4. Mostly the products shown in my ads are tech related like xbox, playstation or ipods.
Hope that helps.
