View Full Version : Does Google make mistakes about banning publishers?

I notice many threads in some forums about how they got banned by Adsense and they were innocent etc. But what if they really are? What if they really respected the TOS and did absolutely nothing wrong and still got banned? Sure they've explained themselves but what if Google insist that they're right?

Yes there are many alternatives to Adsense but what if the same thing happened? Are we safe?

I didn't do anything against the TOS and Google disabled my account.
They said that I had "invalid clicks" and I know what it is so I didn't do anything :(
They took all of my earning and its a lot..

They understood me and reactive my account but without any earning :(

Maybe it's other than invalid clicks? Well atleast you got reinstated.:)

They told me the reason - invalid clicks :(
Yes, at least they reactive my account - 2nd chance though I didn't do anything wrong..

invalid clicks can also mean clicks against other publisher's ads. meaning, if you were to click a 'competitors' google ads 5000 times then google would pick up on who was doing the clicking - you, and ban.
(not that i'm accusing you or anything)

I keep hearing the "I didn't do anything wrong" from almost every person kicked out of the program. Google will not remove you without a Reason.

So in order to get kicked out for "click Fraud" You either did it yourself, had friends or family members do it. Hey You deserved what you got if you got kicked out for this.

There is one other scenario--You were the victim of a click attack. And these are not very common. Contact Google and they will look into it.

This what I told Google! That I didn't anything wrong and I have many competitors so one of them could do it because he wants me out...

I agree, in most cases nearly everyone has done something 'wrong' to get kicked out - however, they do seem a little harse. I know they are looking out for the advertisers interests (or is it their own interest? ;) ) but they are very arrogant and slow at replying to usual queries, nevermind if you got banned.

My client who got chucked off in November made the mistake of telling his wife about the ads, she clicked enough for Google to notice and kick him off. He emailed and explained the situation and it's just canned responses back, not even one written that addresses his direct questions. To be honest, that's pretty poor on Google's part, they could at least answer him properly.

Such mistakes are quite rare. Just fllow the TOS and everything will be OK.

I believe they do an audit when you hit $100 in earnings. Is this correct?
Is it at $100 or at the end of the month in which you reach $100?

They do a review of your account. I dont know what happens exactly as that is under tight google secrecy.
