Yahoo's banned peoples account because they signed up under an invite that Yahoo didn't send them.

Yahoo's banned peroples account because they signed up under an invite that Yahoo didn't send them.

That's when the person signed for a site that violated the TOS/ For non US sign ups/ Or something really serious that he did. I too have read read about yahoo banning people.

Its the buyers responsibility to make sure that his/her site dosent violate the TOS for the site he/she wishes to register for.

She is asking for money on these. They are NOT free. Not that I was really expecting them to be but her post says nothing about charging for them.

I have 67 Yahoo Publisher Invites to give away.

That says GIVE AWAY which normally means free.

If you are charging for these why not make that clear in your post along with your asking price if you have nothing to hide.

Excuse my ignorance but what do these invites give you ?

The ability to open yahoo publisher account. An account similar to adsense.. In short, content based advertising for website.
The new Yahoo! Publisher Network platform is now in beta and it enables you to:

* Generate additional revenue from your site. Display ads related to the content on your site. You'll earn revenue from qualified clicks.
* Take advantage of Yahoo! Publisher tools, services and programs. Integrate other Yahoo! services into your web site, including Add to My Yahoo! (RSS), Y!Q and much more to come...
* Help shape what Yahoo! offers the publishing community.

Since she's not posting the price let me tell you what price she told me, $20.

Don't get mad Anusha, but you really should have mentioned the fact that they are paid and the price in the first couple of posts.

Anyways I'm not in the USA so I probably can't use it. I'm Canadian, I think I saw some other Canadians with YPN accounts but I'm not willing to lose $20 on a gamble... AdSense is working good for me.

Don’t Buy Yahoo Publisher Network Invites

Small piece of advice, do not buy Yahoo Publisher Network invites. A member at WebmasterWorld bought an invite and then was denied, since he wanted to sign up under a different URL. Afterwards, he was accepted into the program but now has two different accounts.

Good thing the Yahoo! folks are laid back, it seems like the consolidation of the accounts will go through and everything will be fine for this user.

But it is not recommended to buy invites.

That's not too high considering the fact that I paid for it..

That guy was banned not for using someone's invite. He was banned for owning two accounts with the same postal address, Which is not accepted both in adsense and ypn. He should not have signed up with his second invite.

I personally think it's a great investment. For one, There are places I can put YPN ads now that I couldn't have adsense ads. I also have a backup plan if something happens to either account now. A highly unlikely situation, but we've all seen it happen. I think the chances of anyone here getting denied are pretty slim considering the nature of what we do. It's not like we're stumbling to figure out what PPC networks like and do not like to see when applying.

I do think Ansusha should have disclosed that it was $20. I too thought it was free. But the truth is, most of us would have wanted to capitalize on this too. That's a quick $1500 for her. Not that much in London after exchange, but still.

This is the wrong way to become a Yahoo Publisher. This is a 5 page thread that finally got my attention. I may report this to Yahoo if someone does not beat me to it. This is simple wrong, and I do not believe anyone will benefit from this in the end. I really do not expect to see threads like this at DP. I am not the forum police, but I do feel obligated to state when something is blatantly wrong. And being in YPN I am compelled to protect my interest. Anusha, find something honest you can make a buck on. If this activity continues here. I will report it. This is a warning.

Good point and I don't deny that its a bad way of creating an invite... And Thanks for the red rep. I don't own the invites.. I just acts as a 3rd party between people who offer it and people who buy it and in a way i make a small profit.. Anyway, the invites are almost done... So, you wont find such threads :)

Anyone can apply for YPN for free. It might take 3-4 weeks to get approved, but if you buy an invite you have to change all the information that was originally submitted on the application. While you can do this, the information is going to be completely different and if Yahoo decides to review these changes at some point down the road, it would be very easy to see who didn't originally apply for the application. Transferring it is against the TOS and anyone doing this risks losing their account and not getting paid for their last 2 months. I've only heard of this happening to a few, but that doesn't mean it can't be expanded at some point. Getting blacklisted or losing a couple months payment isn't worth the risk to me. Just my opinion.

Sent using Yahoo! Publisher Network Support Center 1/26 at 9:40 PM PST:

There is a person, under the user name anusha, openly selling 67 YPN Invitations at Digital Point Forums. I am bringing this to your attention in the event Yahoo! Publisher Network would like to investigate. I have included the thread's url below:
