View Full Version : What do you all think of the design for my new site?

It had the "default" script interface until now while the design was being done...

To be honest with you: I like it just the way it is. My first thought was that a game site should be flashier, but then I've realized that everything was at the right place, the games, the adsense and maybe less is more. I'll be curious to read what others have to say, but as far as I'm concerned: great job!
Added: And I've just beaten the shit out of John Kerry (http://www.excessively.net/play-617.html)

Looking good, like the colours. But why is Mario angry?
At this page: excessively.net/cat-1-p0.html next link at the bottom is a different fonttype. Strange, for some reason it jumped back to the old design.
Good luck with your new gaming website!

It's actually Wario. Thought it might fit better with the "Excessively".
excessively.net/cat-1-p0.html does not seem to exist. Where did you get to it from? I didn't quite understand that part.

These are the category links next to the quickplay, like this one.. http://www.excessively.net/cat-1-p0.html, the design seems to be switching, I'll take another look later.

Actually, I am not. I wonder if it is DNS related, although I use DNSMadeEasy...so, it should be 100% switched after the 30 minutes (which had passed when I posted).
(Since I had the old design on one IP and the new design on another one - the old design used a different script too.)

ahh yeh, that could be it. The design is changing to where it goes from a long page to a compact looking page and then back.

I think in your first reply you must have seen the old one, in that case. Do you like it better?

I like the old one a lot look wise, but the new one has more stuff on it, and I think it's better to have more of your games displayed on the front page.

Umm i link the look of the site except the purple or pinkish part. Keeping the whole site in different shades of blue would look much nicer IMHO. Anyways, great site...i am already getting addicted to it.

Awesome looking; has an easy flow and view even though there's lots packed in there.
Wario is my son's favorite Mario World character :)
Yeah, just erm... dodge the balls.
What's erm?

Great design, I really like it :)
Your latest games isn't working.
Are you able to change the coding so the category pages show the name of the category instead of cat-6-p0.html for example, I think that would work better for you.
I used to own the actual script your running (The business itself) and I'm thinking of using it on one of my own sites soon, could you tell me who did your design/coding?

I'd cut down on the word "free" a few times on the front page if possible. You want your visitors to think the site believes in its games themselves, not their free-ness. If that makes sense...
