Some registrars say ICANN supported, what exactly does this mean?
There is a registrar called www.whiz.in.
They do not say ICANN supported, does this mean that any domain registered with them is rendered useless?

All 'Registrars' are ICANN Accredited. Whiz.in does not appear to be an accredited Registrar but is a reseller for an accredited Registrar. Resellers are common and legit and often cost less than buying direct from a Registrar. Level of support, professionalism, and responsiveness varies greatly among resellers. If there is a problem it may take longer to get it resolved than dealing directly with a Registrar.
