Hi,

I heard that domain transfers usually cost money.
Suppose, I want to transfer a godaddy domain to my godaddy account, then what happens?
Is it free?

Say you want to transfer from namecheap to godaddy, you need the domain secret code, pay transfer fee to godaddy, enter the domain secret(which you have to get from namecheap), in a week the domain will be transfered to your godaddy account. One year will be added to the domain.

EDIT: Transfering from godaddy account to another godaddy account is free(it is called domain push)

Yeah, I asked whether we have to pay a fee when transferring domain to the same registrar

you dont have to pay anything if pushing to same register, you only have to pay to register or renew!

If you want to transfer a domain name to ANOTHER account with SAME registrar then you DONT have to pay any dime since its internal PUSH and its absolutely FREE.
