Rants Forum - Release your anger! (Need Reviews)

I know it doesn't have any members at the moment, but I just wanted some feedback on the forums and on the skin in general.

Personally, I think the skin is perfect, have a look at a sample topic:

The speech bubbles resembles the specific members opinion/thoughts and that's the beauty of this skin (even though it's free :p)


Ok, now onto what I'm really asking from you guys:

- Please have a look at the forum (http://www.rantsforum.com) and look at the forums in the "Rants Area" category. Is there anything I need to change with the forums? Is there anything you feel I should add?

Your site is kinda crappy.

WHat you ned to do is lighten up he color scheme. Brown yellow is so boring. Use green or blue.

Then you need a good intro. Why should peple rant? Explain it in the intro page. And so on.

I guess I should also define the meaning of "Rant" aswell ;) Thanks for the help. Would you have any suggestions on new forums I could add to the Rants Area?

I agree with IamNed about the color scheme.
Anger is not "flat" it's explosive! Think about putting some aggressive colors (or calming colors if you want people to "take it easy" when they come ranting).

I'm sure you can find some infos on the web about the meaning and effects of colors on people ;)

The design / layout is not bad, although it's a bit too "wide" for my taste. Just my opinion, though.

Get some posts going to kick things off. People dont like empty forums but if you seed the forum with some rants or 'discussion' you can get people to join.

Thanks to you guys, I have taken the time to post the definition of "Rant" and have even posted a topic stating the reasons why people should rant at RantsForum.com :)

The only thing I really liked about the skin is the speech bubbles, it resembles a persons thought/opinion, but other than that I didn't really like anything else. I'll be looking for a new skin ASAP ;)

Maybe if something pisses me off today I'll have something to post in the Rants Area :p
