I have generated sitemaps for my sites and put an html file and metatags in the directory. My problem is every time I try to confirm them with google it produces a web address with 403 at the end. example
( mymediascript.com:403) And since that is a bad address it cant confirm the site?? I cant get google to add an address to confirm without adding the 403. Anybody else run into this problem?

Are you running your http-server on port 403 ?
Or are you getting HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden msg ?

no it is when you are adding it to google to verify that google produces the number at the end of the url. So when it goes to verify it that address doesnt exist. No errors on the site itself.

Did you verify the site using meta tags or placement of the random html file? If you were able to complete the site verification step by placing the random HTML file name, then there is no reason why the sitemap should not work.

Based on the 403 error code, it sounds like you've placed the sitemap file in a location that isn't easily accessible. Make sure you place the file in the same location where you placed the site verification file.

No I dont think we are understanding. I have placed both metatags and an html file. The problem is in the google system. When I add the website to my dashboard googles system is transforming the address to include the 403 at the end of the address. There for when it tries going to the address it doesnt exist. It is not taking it to the right place. The only problem I am having is getting it verified with google.
