aside from articledashboard.com, are there any other sites wherein we can find free or cheap article script?

yes, I already tried articledashboard but installation requires an ioncube loader on the server and it also run before zend.

Thats exactly why I can't use it.Looks like a nice script too.I'm using ArticleSiteDir which you can pick up for about $5 but I don't like it at all.
You can see it on my site http://www.freebie-articles.com/ but I will be changing it soon.

If you want a free copy to test out PM me (I have resell rights) but I wouldn't recommend this script.

Can you use HTML in the article and I assume peeps will have to reg or put their details before submitting a new article ....or is it just to publish your own?

I was gonna PM you over at forum for a free copy but I'll wait till its done;)

I'm using ArticleSiteDir too, it's easy to install and use, though I had to do some tweaking to add some features I like.

The only thing I don't like about it is the url of the article.

I would appreciate it if you could tell me the most important features that I lack now.
it would be nice to have a 3 column site layout and the order of article listed on each category should be the latest and not on alphabetical order. :)

Judging by the quality of your link directory script, I eagerly await the launch of your article directory script. Keep us updated with the progress of it.

Some important features I feel are lacking currently is the ability to allow publishers to submit articles on the site, as well as bulk article import functionality.

How does template customization work, what can be cutomized?

I've already installed articledashboard script...I thought in the 1st place it was so hard to setup...
