2.3 is here. Time to upgrade.

I have been pretty excited about this version coming out mainly due to the new feature "Canonical URLs." A great addition that I'm sure all us SEO nuts will enjoy.

We’ve cleaned up URLs a bunch in a feature we call canonical URLs which does things like enforce your no-www preference, redirect posts with changed slugs so a link never goes bad, redirect URLs that get cut off in emails on similar to the correct post, and much more. This helps your users, and it also helps your search engine optimization, as search engines like for each page to be available in one canonical location.

I'm also a little nervous about upgrading. It would be nice if everyone could post their problems and successes with this upgrade right here. Be sure to include the names of themes and other modifications that were used on upgraded blogs.

I'm especially interested in hearing about anyone who made a lot of use out of UTW...and how things translated over with Wordpress's new tagging abilities.

I'm not upgrading mine yet. My bigger blogs require a few specific plugins already with known issues, and I don't have other possible workarounds yet. Hopefully the plugins will get upgraded.

its quite odd, why I feel this version is slower than previous ones. or is it my internet. lol

Hey everyone,

Here is the list of plugins that have been tested for compatibility with Version 2.3.

You may want to have a look through the list to make sure any essential plugins that you need are not in the "Non-working plugins, or has issues" section before you upgrade.

err...Ultimate Tag Warrior doesnt work with 2.3? Forget upgrading, then!!!

Upgraded 30 minutes after it was released. I love this product for blogging. Wordpress is simple, clean, and easy to customize.
